"A and E" by Goldfrapp

There's a new Goldfrapp record due next month, and I'm looking forward to it with great anticipation, as her last album ("Supernature") was pretty much all my iPod played for six weeks after I bought it. The new single is "A and E", and though it's a different sound than I'm used to hearing (it's a really pretty pop song, but not nearly as electronic as "Ooh La La" or "Fly Me Away"), I'm starting to dig it. I'm not used to hearing little bits of acoustic guitar. Anyway, if you go to MySpace it's on my profile - or, you could go to her page and check out more of her stuff if you're not familiar with it - WHICH YOU SHOULD BE!

Trust me, for me to get this excited about music like this (compare the rest of my collection, you'll see what I mean), it means one of two things:

  • She's great.

  • I'm getting older and lamer.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, I suppose.
